"Hawaiian Sunset" was captured by
club member Mike Brake on the island of Molokai Hawaii in October of 2008. This photo has been featured on
the official 2013 calendar for Hawaiian Airlines and has been seen on countless travel websites. The photo was captured
using a combination of 3 different filters attached to the camera: Circular Polarizer, Rainbow Polarizer and a Red Filter.
Using multiple filters can sometimes yield spectacular results at sunset.

| Mr. Gould Demonstrating Camera Height |

Mr. Gould's presentation on Sept 24 was a big success with club members. We were impressed with the depth of his knowledge and experience; the information was presented well; and, the talk was very informative. We all felt that we understood portraits better after his talk; and it was really fun to try out the poses with each other.
Please see Mr. Gould's web site for more information about classes and workshops. We recommend his training services to any photographer who is interested in portrait skills.
Here are several photos that members took at the workshop.

| Sunnyvale Photo Safari |
Robyn Aber |

| Robyn organized and led a Photo Safari - celebrating National Photo Day on June 29, 2012 - in downtown Sunnyvale. We met up, followed the map, wandered about, and took lots of pictures. 13 club members attended - it was especially interesting to see how different photographers took different shots of the same subjects. We enjoyed the safari and hope to do more in the future. |
